CLINTON, S.C. – The Wofford women's tennis team took down Presbyterian, 5-2, on Saturday morning in Clinton, S.C.

The Terriers win improves them to 9-5 on the season and snaps their three match road losing streak.

In doubles action, the Terriers took the opening point by winning two out of the three matches. The first match went to the Blue Hose, with their no. 3 team of Brittany Nuttall and Beth Taylor taking their match, 6-0. The Terriers responded with
Catherine Martin and
Lauren Reid winning the no. 2 doubles match, 6-2, before the no.1 team of
Cassidy Hicks and
Kalli Karas also won, 6-2, to clinch the opening point for Wofford.

The Terriers continued their momentum in singles action, with Karas taking her match, 6-0, 6-2, to give Wofford a 2-0 lead. The win for Karas was her team leading 10
th singles victory of the season. Presbyterian put a point on the board with a 6-4, 6-1 win from Tracy Johnson in the no. 1 slot.

Curran Carver continued her strong play, with a 6-3, 6-1 win in the no. 6 spot, which put the Terriers within one point of clinching the match and improved Carver's record to 9-2 on the year.

The Terriers clinched the match when
Lauren Reid won her match in the no. 4 position, 6-3, 6-1.

With the match clinched in the Terriers favor, Hicks took her match at no. 2, 6-4, 6-4, before the Blue Hose won the final match to finish the score at 5-2.
