ASHEVILLE, N.C. – On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the Wofford women's tennis team opened the fall season by competing at the Emily McNall Classic hosted by UNC Asheville at Asheville School. In addition to Wofford and UNC Asheville, Presbyterian College and Davidson also competed.
Overall, Wofford had 10 singles wins and seven doubles victories during the weekend. Grace Agster and Quinn Bernthal went undefeated in doubles this weekend with two singles wins and three double wins during the tournament. Ana Maria Rincon had three single wins to lead the Terriers.
Friday, Wofford won four of six Wofford single matches, and one doubles match. During Saturday's matches, Ana Maria Rincon won her singles match, but the rest were unfinished due to weather. On Sunday, Wofford won five of Wofford's six singles matches and all three of their doubles matches.
Wofford will compete next at the Charleston Southern Invitational on September 25-27.
