THE MATCHUP: Wofford completes a four-game road trip with a visit to Furman on Saturday in a key Southern Conference match-up ... Wofford began the 2018 season with a 28-21 win over The Citadel, marking Josh Conklin's first win as head coach ... The Terriers beat VMI to move to 2-0 in league play, but were defeated 17-14 at Wyoming ... Wofford returned after the bye week with a win at Gardner-Webb and added a 21-10 win at Chattanooga on Saturday ... Furman is 1-3 overall and 1-1 in the Southern Conference, with a league win over Western Carolina and a loss to ETSU ... The Paladins were 8-5 last season and 6-2 in the SoCon to finish tied for second place ... In 2017 the Terriers earned a 24-23 win in the season opener against Furman and then faced the Paladins in the second round of the playoffs, which was a 28-10 win by Wofford ... Wofford is looking for a return to the FCS Playoffs after reaching the quarterfinals last season with a 10-3 overall record and a 7-1 mark as Southern Conference Champions ... Wofford is tied for sixth in the STATS FCS poll and fourth in the FCS Coaches poll.
