SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford men's basketball team dominated from the tip on Saturday night, cruising to a 92-49 victory over UNC Asheville. Wofford was lights out from both the field (55.9%) and 3-point range (54.2%), led by Nathan Hoover's 19 points (7-10 FG).

Cameron Jackson continued to be a force down low, scoring 18 points and grabbing 7 rebounds, while Tray Hollowell added 14 points off the bench. Fletcher Magee, who scored 12 points, moved into fifth-place all-time in career points scored at Wofford, passing Noah Dahlman by one, giving him 2,014 in a Terrier uniform.

"Fletcher has been awesome," said head Coach Mike Young. "As I've said a thousand times, I'm fortunate enough to coach him, but the best part about tonight is that we've still got a lot of games ahead of us with him, and it was a great team win tonight."

In addition to passing Dahlman for fifth all-time in Wofford scoring history, Magee's two 3-pointers moved him into second place all-time in the Southern Conference with 397 3-pointers, passing College of Charleston's Andrew Goudelock.

"Andrew Goudelock was a great player, so that's some great company for Fletcher. He's just a scorer. He's gotten bigger and stronger over the years and he can do so many things offensively, he makes it a lot of fun to coach."

With the win, Wofford moves to 9-3 on the season, traveling to Mississippi State on Wednesday for its last non-conference battle of the season (8 p.m.).

After Magee hit a 3-pointer to open the game, the two sides traded buckets. Holding an 11-9 lead, the Terriers went on a 15-2 run capped off by a Storm Murphy 3-pointer that made the score 26-11 in favor of Wofford.

The Terriers expanded their lead throughout the half, going 7-of-10 from the free-throw stripe and 18-of-30 from the field (60%), ending the first period with a corner three from Hollowell that put Wofford up by 30 (52-22).

Jackson opened up the second half with a dunk just 13 seconds in, as Wofford was off to the races. With 8:34 to play, Magee earned a trip to the line where he would subsequently tie and pass Dahlman's career-point total of 2,013.

Thirteen different players saw action in the second half, with nine scoring. Hoover went 4-for-5 in the second, hitting a pair of threes to help salt away the victory.

"Mississippi State is a top-25 team, they are coached by a man (Ben Howland) that has won a lot of games and who has been to Final Four's, so we need to go down there and play well to give ourselves a chance to win."
