GREENVILLE, S.C. – 25 points by Furman in the fourth quarter, paired with a cold shooting day, would push the Paladins past Wofford, 63-50, at Timmons Arena on Saturday afternoon. Both squads came into the contest with identical records, though, the loss drops Wofford to 2-3 in conference and 10-10 overall, while Furman moves to 3-2 and 11-9 overall.

Wofford shot just 19-for-58 (32.8%) from the floor for the contest, as the Terriers struggled from three, shooting an unfavorable 26.3 percent (5-19 3FG) from beyond the arc. The Terriers created 14 Furman turnovers, however, the Paladins took a double-digit edge in rebounds over Wofford, 49-32.

Chloe Wanink led the Terriers with 19 points on 50 percent shooting (7-14 FG) from the floor, including 3-for-5 (60.0%) from beyond the arc. Wanink also added five rebounds, an assist, and a steal. Junior
Cairo Booker recorded 13 points, seven rebounds, and three assists, while sophomore
Da'Ja Green followed with nine points and three rebounds.

Da'Ja Green 3-pointer and
Cairo Booker jumper would start the game off for the Terriers. Scores from
Marissa Bayer and
Chloe Wanink would make the score 13-9 before a Furman layup and and-1 gave the Paladins a one-point lead, 14-13, at 3:31. Furman's Le'Jzae Davidson scored the next six points for the Paladins, though, Green would answer with another three to trail by two, 20-18, at the end of the quarter.

Both teams held each other scoreless for the first four minutes of the second, up until the Paladins' Celena Taborn would knock down a top of the key 3-pointer at the 5:59 mark, extending their lead to five, 23-18. After a series of scoreless trips up and down the floor, the Paladins would hit another three to end the half leading 27-19, as Wofford's lone point in the quarter came from a
Jamari McDavid free throw at 2:08.

Both teams showcased their stingy defense in the first half, as the Terriers shot just 8-of-32 (25.0%) in the first half, while holding the Paladins to 33.3 percent (11-33 FG) from the floor. However, Furman made the Terriers pay from beyond the arc, connecting on 3-of-10 (30.0%) attempts.

Furman would push a 10-point lead (30-20) 1:12 into the half, though, five points from
Chloe Wanink would cut the margin to five by the 7:23 mark, 30-25. Wanink then went on to cash another three, as two
Cairo Booker free throws would narrow the deficit down to two (32-30) just under the halfway mark. The Paladins couldn't surpass a four-point spread, as Wanink and Booker would combine for eight more points within the last two minutes of the third to knot the score at 38-38 heading into the final 10 minutes of play.

The Paladins bounced back, opening the quarter with a three and steal for a fast break layup to reclaim a five-point lead, 43-38. A 5-0 Furman run, capped by a Le'Jzae Davidson 3-pointer, ensued, though, Wanink would break the Terriers' silence after with a jumper at the 6:55 mark. Furman would rally behind another Davidson three and Tierra Hodges and-1 to give the Paladins their largest double-digit lead of the game at 15 points, 61-46, with 2:22 left. Late Booker and
Jamari McDavid finishes cut the deficit, however, Davidson free throws would go on to end the game in Furman's favor, 63-50.

The Paladins had three in double figures, led by Le'Jzae Davidson with 21 points and three rebounds. Celena Taborn finished with 12 points and eight rebounds, while Tierra Hodges notched a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
