THE MATCHUP: Wofford returns to Southern Conference play on Saturday afternoon at VMI ... Wofford enters the game with an 1-2 record following a loss to South Carolina State in the season opener, a 21-14 loss to Samford to begin Southern Conference play and a 49-10 win over Gardner-Webb ... VMI is 2-2 on the season after losses to Marshall and Robert Morris, along with wins over Mars Hill and ETSU ... Last season the Terriers earned a 59-14 win over the Keydets in Spartanburg, with Wofford winning the last seven games in the series ... VMI was 1-10 overall last season and 0-8 to finish ninth in the Southern Conference ... Wofford is looking for a return to the FCS Playoffs after reaching the second round last season with a 9-4 overall record and a 6-2 mark as Southern Conference Champions ... Wofford is receiving votes in the STATS FCS poll and the FCS Coaches poll.
