Wilmington, NC – Two points were earned by the Terriers Friday afternoon after winning the doubles point and scoring a singles victory, but ultimately it was not enough as the team fell 5-2 against No. 80 UNCW.

Wofford was off to a hot start as they won two out of three matches to secure the doubles point. Julian Chousa and Omar Williams defeated #36 Bruno Caula and Daniel Groom 6-4, and Javi Casasolas and Callum Rendle knocked off Michael Copeland and Austin Hussey 6-3.

Julian Chousa continued his dominance on the day as he won his singles match as well. In the number one spot, Chousa took down UNCW's Austin Hussey 2-6, 6-4, 6-4. Edu Villar and Lucas Cerbelli each took their man to three sets in hard fought competition, but were unable to come out on top.

"Congratulations to Wilmington. They played tough when it mattered most", said coach Ray. "Winning the doubles point on the road was big for us. However, we failed to explode off of the doubles momentum. I'm proud of Julian for coming from behind to get a tough singles win. We're looking forward to tomorrow's match."
