AIKEN, S.C. - The Wofford men's golf team wrapped up play at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate on Tuesday, finishing ninth in a strong field of 15 teams, with Ryan Marter tying for 17th place individually.

The Terriers opened up the tournament with a round-one 293 on Monday, shooting a second-round 290, before capping off tournament play on Tuesday with a team total of 296.

Marter, who tied for 17th place in his last tournament (Wexford Intercollegiate), opened up with a 1-under-par 69 on the Palmetto Golf Club's par-70 course. The junior from Columbia, South Carolina, posted a round-two 72, birdieing four holes before closing out the tournament with a round-three 74 to finish 5-over-par.

Matthew Copeland tied for 29th place, bouncing back after the first round with a round-two 71, posting a 73 on Tuesday.  Walker Jones got better each round, carding a round-two 74 and a round-three 72 (223 overall). Walker Simas rounded out the scoring for the Terriers totaling 73 in two of his three rounds. 

Wofford will return to the course on March 27, opening up play at the Furman Intercollegiate (March 27-29).
