Clemson, S.C. – Wofford's men's tennis team competed in their first official team match on Saturday, falling to ACC opponent Clemson, 6-1.
Wofford wasn't able to pick up a doubles point, but they played tough and made it difficult for Clemson to pick up the points.
Will Fullett and
Ashe Ray played to a 6-2 defeat, and the duo of
Omar Williams and
Bryce Keim fell 6-3. The closest match came from
Javi Casasolas and
Callum Rendle who played to a 7-5 loss.
Fullett won the lone point for the Terriers, picking up a win in the #6 position in singles play. He took down Daniel Labrador, 6-3, 7-6, winning the tiebreaker 7-5. Despite the rest of the team falling in singles, they played hard and certainly didn't make it easy on Clemson.
