Storm Murphy was named to the contingent upon his stellar play for the Terriers this season.
Storm Murphy continues his senior year heroics for the Terriers, most recently tallying a career-high 28 points on 58.8-percent shooting from the field and 40-percent from beyond the arc (4-of-10) to lead Wofford to a league-leading 6-1 mark in the SoCon, while notching its fourth consecutive win through conference play.
Murphy was 10-of-17 and 4-for-5 from the free-throw line in Saturday's 91-78 win over Western Carolina, as the Middleton, Wisc. native eclipsed the 20-point total for the third consecutive game and seventh time this season.
Murphy matched his previous career-high of 26 points on Dec. 15 against Coastal Carolina prior to Saturday's performance, as the senior is second in the conference for scoring overall (20.1 points) and scoring in SoCon contests (22.3 points). He additionally dished four assists in Saturday's win, as Murphy is the active SoCon career leader in assists (429) and currently leads the league in the category for SoCon contests with 4.7 per game. Murphy additionally leads the league in free-throw percentage (.873).
After hitting four 3-pointers on Saturday, Murphy leads the league in 3-point field goals made through conference play with 26 at a 41.9-percent clip (26-for-62). The senior has reached double figures in 12 of 13 games this season and has done so on an efficient 50.9 shooting percentage from the field (86-for-169) – which ranks him sixth in the league.
