SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford College rifle team had their first match of the season on Saturday against the University of North Georgia at the Taylor Center Rifle Range. The Nighthawks came away with a 4,555 to 3,210 victory.
Wofford, competing with only three shooters, was led by
Isabella Timmons with a total score of 1,115, which included a 555 in smallbore and a 560 in air rifle.
Jessy Delgado (1,029) and
Meredith Bean (1,066) also competed for the Terriers.
Kevin Vaughn of North Georgia fired a 1,145 to take first place overall.
The Terriers will be back at home next Saturday against UAB and next Sunday against Georgia Southern.
