SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford College rifle team hosted UAB and The Citadel on Friday at the Taylor Center Rifle Range. UAB was first with an aggregate of 4,626, followed by The Citadel (4,573), Wofford (4,552), and The Citadel women's team (4,408).
The Terriers were led by
Oliver Guthrie with an aggregate of 1,144 to place eighth overall.
Garett Dall had a career-high aggregate of 1,141, which included a career-best of 565 in small bore.
Samuel Nickless had an aggregate of 1,137 and led the team with 59 total centers. Nickless set a school record in air rifle with a 593, which included 43 centers, as he finished third in the event.
Anna Mottern set career-bests in small bore (55), air rifle (579) and aggregate (1,130).
Maeghan Springer had a career-best 570 in air rifle only.
Overall, The Citadel's Braden Michalak had the top aggregate score with a 1,171 and the top score in air rifle at 597. Holly Visconti from UAB had a 581 to take the top spot in smallbore.
Wofford will compete at the 2026 Southern Conference Championship on Feb. 6 and 7 in Statesboro, Ga.
