WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wofford women's tennis team competed at the ITA Carolina Regional Championships at the Wake Forest Tennis Center from October 21 to 23.  The tournament included college tennis players from the states of North Carolina and South Carolina, with all nine players on the Wofford women's team seeing action.
 
Highlights of the weekend included Emely Khars reaching the quarterfinals of the B1 Draw and freshman Lily Woods winning three matches before falling in the finals of the A1 Consolation Draw. Emma Sorensen and Ansley Hardeman faced each other in the semifinals of the B1 Consolation Draw, with Sorensen falling in the finals. In doubles, Liz Massie and Ansley Hardeman won the Main B Consolation Draw.
 
"It was so great to be out competing again," said head coach Krissy Hall. "We got in a lot of great match play and saw improvement in the things we have been focusing on at practice. We look forward to playing at home this coming weekend!"
 
Wofford will host the Wofford Invitational from October 29-31 at the Reeves Tennis Center.
