THE CITADEL GAME
Wofford will play the final Southern Conference game of the season on Saturday afternoon in Charleston against The Citadel ... The Terriers are 1-8 on the season and 0-7 in Southern Conference play after a 24-22 road win at Elon, a 31-10 loss at home to #24 Kennesaw State, a 31-23 road loss to #22 VMI, a 27-21 loss on the road to #13 East Tennessee State, a 42-20 home loss to Furman, a 27-24 loss to Samford, a 45-14 loss at Mercer, a 41-21 loss to Western Carolina and a 35-10 loss to #25 Chattanooga ... Wofford has lost eleven-straight Southern Conference games for the first time in school history ... The last time the Terriers were 1-8 to begin a season was in 1987 in which they were 1-10 at the end of the year ... The Citadel is 2-7 on the season and 1-5 in league play, with a SoCon win over #18 VMI and a win over North Greenville ... They are ranked 62nd in the nation in total offense and 101st in total defense ... In a game that traditionally features the top rushing offenses in the NCAA FCS, this season the Bulldogs are third in the category and the Terriers are 18th ... Wofford and The Citadel have played 74 times, with the Bulldogs holding a 43-30-1 lead in the series that began in 1916 ... The Citadel picked up a 28-24 win in Spartanburg during the 2020-21 springs season to end a streak of four straight wins by Wofford in the series.

Here are the top notes of interest heading into The Citadel game:
    • The Terriers have seen 30 players earn first career starts this fall and only nine players have started ten or more career games.
    • Wofford is ranked 94th in the nation in total offense and 110th in total defense through nine games.
    • The rushing offense was ranked fifth overall at 232.8  yards per game in the spring. Wofford has been ranked in the top ten in rushing offense for 22 straight seasons but are 18th so far in 2021 at 202.2 yards per game.

HOW OPPONENTS ARE DOING
The nine opponents that Wofford has faced this season are a combined 49-31 on the season. Three of the teams were ranked on game day against the Terriers, as Kennesaw State (8-1) was #24, VMI (6-3) was #22 and East Tennessee State (8-1) was #13. It marked the first time Wofford has faced three straight ranked opponents since the 2017 season. Chattanooga (6-3) was receiving votes when the game was played and Mercer (6-2) also is above .500 this season. Elon (4-5), Furman (4-5), Samford (4-5) and Western Carolina (3-6) are currently below .500. Overall, Wofford has the11th toughest schedule in the country (and toughest in the SoCon) as of the latest NCAA report on November 7.
COACH JOSH CONKLIN SHOW
Wofford Sports Properties, the multimedia rights partner for Wofford College Athletics, has announced the return of the Coach 
Josh Conklin Show. The show is part of an expanded selection of coaches shows that began in the spring. The shows, sponsored by R.J. Rockers, are hosted by the voice of the Terriers, Jim Noble. The 
Josh Conklin Show begins in September and will debut every Monday during the football season. The first episodes of the 
Jimmy Garrity (women's basketball) and 
Jay McAuley (men's basketball) will debut in late December. Fans can listen to the "Wofford Terriers Coaches Show" podcast in a variety of ways, including on the
