SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College men's tennis head coach Rod Ray has announced that Ian Rasheed has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the team next fall.

He trains at the Randy Pate /LTP Tennis Academy where he has a team of coaches including his father Charly Rasheed. In December, Ian will receive South Carolina's Rex Maynard Award for being South Carolina's top junior tennis player.

"Ian Rasheed is a class act and a dynamite tennis player," said head coach Rod Ray. "I couldn't be more thrilled to have him join our team. He's tough minded and he attacks and defends well. Everything is in place for Ian to be a strong college player. We ripped a winner in landing Ian."

The eligibility of all student-athletes is contingent upon admission to Wofford College and compliance with all NCAA rules, including registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
