SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The all-tournament teams for each of the two pods comprising the Preseason WNIT Classic were announced Tuesday, with Alexis Tomlin representing the Wofford women's basketball team in the NC State pod.
 
Wofford made its first-ever appearance in the Preseason WNIT Classic over the weekend, and Alexis Tomlin subsequently becomes the first Terrier to ever earn an all-tournament team selection for the event.
 
"I'm really happy for [Alexis] making the all-tournament team," said head coach Jimmy Garrity. "She went up against great talent with length and athleticism. She just fights and battles night in and night out no matter who she is playing. She plays with tremendous heart and toughness."
 
Tomlin led the Terriers in rebounding for the tournament with 20 (6.7 RPG), while also topping the squad in two of the three games – against No. 5 NC State (seven) and Florida (eight). She was among the leaders of the NC State pod in boards as well, finishing third in total rebounds and tied for first in offensive rebounds (eight). Tomlin also shot 40.9% from the field, the best among Terriers who tallied at least 10 shots, to accrue 20 points (6.7 PPG), which was third-best on the team. The senior forward was also tied for third in the NC State pod with two blocked shots, and she added three steals and two assists. This performance in the tournament comes after her opening night double-double, which was the third of her career.
