LEXINGTON, Va. – The Wofford College rifle team competed on Saturday against VMI and The Citadel at Kilbourne Hall on the VMI campus. The Citadel took first place with a 4,608 aggregate score, while the Terriers were fifth at 3,657.
Wofford was led by
Isabella Timmons with a total score of 1,126, which included a 558 in smallbore and a 568 in air rifle.
Meredith Bean a total score of 1,093 and
Jessy Delgado had a score of 1,044. In his first career match,
Will Kennedy fired a 394 in air rifle only.
Charlotte Welsh of The Citadel took first place in the smallbore and air rifle with a 1,1165 score. The Citadel was first at 4,608, followed by VMI (4,552), The Citadel women (4,4425), VMI women (4,375) and Wofford (3,657).
The Terriers take almost a month off before hosting VMI on Saturday, December 4 at the Taylor Center Rifle Range.
