The Mercer Game
Wofford opens the 2020-21 season on Saturday against Mercer ... The game will be the first played by the Terriers in the month of February in school history ... Wofford was 8-4 overall and was 7-1 in the Southern Conference last season ... Wofford won the outright SoCon Championship and earned the automatic bid, marking the seventh league title in school history ... It was the first time the Terriers have won back-to-back-to-back league championships ... Wofford reached the NCAA FCS Playoffs for the fourth-straight season ... The Terriers are one of just seven teams to make the last three playoff fields ... Mercer enters the spring with an 0-3 record from their three games in the fall  ... About Wofford
With the graduation of 2019 SoCon Player of the Year Joe Newman, the Terrier will be looking for a new starter at quarterback ...  Jimmy Weirick and Peyton Derrick both played in three games last season ... Jacquez Allen is the leading returning rusher with 52 carries for 528 yards and four touchdowns, while Nathan Walker had 81 carries for 460 yards and five touchdowns ... The top two receivers from last season return, as D'mauriae VanCleave had 23 catches for 362 yards and three touchdowns, while T.J. Luther has added 19 catches for 447 yards and three touchdowns ... The offensive line looks to replace all five starters from last season ... Linebackers Joe Beckett and John Beckley are the top two returning tacklers with 50 and 46 tackles, respectively ... Micheal Mason led the team with 10.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks ...  Brandon Brown is the lone returner who had an interception last season and Darron Paschal had six pass break-ups ... The Terriers will have a new kicker this season, with Dawson Henis kicking and Landon Parker punting after the graduation of Luke Carter.

Season Openers
After the loss at South Carolina State in 2019, Wofford is 51-59-1 all-time in season openers since posting a 5-1 win over Furman on December 14, 1889 ... In the last nine seasons, Wofford is 5-4 in season openers, with the losses to Baylor, Georgia Tech and Clemson ... When Wofford opens the season at home, its record is 26-20-1.

Football Ticket Information
Parents of student-athletes can attend - must be on the approved player pass list. Beginning on Saturday, February 20, a limited number of current Wofford students can attend. Students have received an email with instructions on ticket pick-up policy and entry procedures. Terrier Club members will also be provided an opportunity to purchase a limited number of tickets based on priority points. Eligible members will receive an email with instructions. No ticket sales to the general public.

Football General regulations

• All tickets will be digital this spring. Tickets may be printed out at home or downloaded to your phone. 
• Gates will open 1 hour prior to kick-off.
• Temperature checks will be required upon entry.
• Clear bag policy is still enforced.
• No re-entry to the stadium will be allowed at any time, for any reason.
• Limited concessions will be available.

Football Parking regulations

• Parking, with the exception of the Verandah Lot, will be free this spring. 
• Parking spaces will not be reserved. Paved lots will be used first, followed by grass lots.
• Parking lots open 1 hour prior to game time. Lots will close 30 minutes following the game.
• Tailgating is strongly discouraged.
• No tents, trailers or grills are allowed in the parking lots.
