CLEMSON, S.C. – Wofford's women's tennis team played for the third straight day, falling to a very talented Clemson team, 4-0.
Emely Kahrs and
Liz Massie fell on court 2 to begin doubles, while
Ansley Hardeman and
Georgia Fischer were dropped as the third pairing for Wofford. The duo of
Jenna Vroman and
Lilie Steryous' match went unfinished due to Clemson winning the point in the previous matches.
The Terriers fell just as quickly in singles play, losing three games and therefore the match. Vroman took a 4-1 lead in her second set before the match was called, while Steryous and Massie were both in their second set and battling for a win.
"Clemson is a great team and playing our third match in as many days is always going to be tough", said coach
Krissy Hall. "Despite the result we got better today and we will continue to get better as a team, and we are looking forward to our next match."
