CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Wofford's men's tennis team had their first conference match Saturday afternoon against The Citadel, and came away big with a 7-0 win.
The Terriers got the party started as the tandem of
Will Fullett and
Ashe Ray won convincingly 6-2 as pair #3.
Omar Williams and
Bryce Keim won on position #1, 6-3. Wofford swept the doubles point as
Javi Casasolas and
Diego Losada wrapped up a 6-4 win.
Callum Rendle stepped up as singles player #2 with a 6-3, 6-4 win to carry the momentum over. Ray and Fullett picked up wins just as they did in doubles, while Williams won straight sets 6-0, 6-4. Losada and Keim both went to three sets, but were both able to finish strong and get the win to give Wofford a clean 7-0 victory.
