Football Game vs. ETSU Postponed

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College has announced the postponement of the football game scheduled for Saturday, March 6, against East Tennessee State University.

Wofford has dropped below the guideline of available players at a specific position group due to a combination of player COVID opt-outs and injuries.

"We have five defensive linemen available," said head coach Josh Conklin. "We had three opt-out at that position before the spring began and then we have had four injuries. The conference says the guideline is six defensive linemen to play and we have five. Last weekend we had six and used two linebackers on the line. It is unfortunate and right now I know our guys and our coaching staff are disappointed. We have worked a long time to get here and we don't have an opportunity to go play this weekend. Hopefully we can get some guys back and keep shuffling some things to get back out there next week."

The Terriers (1-1 overall) are expected to return to action on Saturday, March 13, at Samford.
