CHATTANOOGA, TN. – The Wofford men's tennis team dropped their third SoCon match of the year in a 7-0 defeat to the Chattanooga Mocs. The Terriers will return to Reeves Tennis Center on April 2 for a 3:00 match vs. Samford.
Wofford had a new #1 pairing of
Callum Rendle and
Javi Casasolas due to
Bryce Keim being out of the lineup, as they fell 6-2.
Omar Williams paired up with freshman
Alex Horn as they battled to a 7-6 loss, and the typical duo of
Ashe Ray and
Will Fullett also fell by the same score.
Williams still remained at his #1 singles spot as he won his second set to force a third. Ultimately, he was downed 5-7, 6-4, 2-6. Rendle and Casasolas put up a good fight in their individual matches, but both fell 6-7, 5-7.
Diego Losada was dropped in straight sets, along with Ray who was unable to score a point for the team. Fullett fought to three sets, winning his second, but the Mocs were too much as they took every match to complete the sweep.
