BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Wofford College men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Gardner-Webb University on Wednesday afternoon at the Webb Tennis Complex. The Runnin' Bulldogs claimed the doubles point and the Terriers won a pair of singles matches in the contest.
 
In doubles, the Runnin' Bulldogs won at the #3 position before the Terrier duo of Bryce Keim and Callum Rendle picked up a 7-6 win at the #1 position in a 9-7 tiebreaker. With the doubles point on the line at the #2 position, Ashe Ray and Will Fullett were defeated 7-6 on a 7-5 tiebreaker.  
 
During the singles matches, Gardner-Webb earned at point at the #5 position before Max Graham had a 6-2, 6-4 win at the #6 position. Ashe Ray tied the match at two points each when he recorded a 6-2, 6-3 win at #1 singles. The Runnin' Bulldogs claimed straight set wins at the #4 and #3 positions to clinch the match. In the final match to end, Mark Endler was defeated in three sets at the #2 position.
 
Wofford (0-4) will visit Stetson for a match on Saturday, January 29, at 1:00 p.m.
