SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford College rifle team had their first home match of the season on Sunday morning as they hosted the University of North Georgia. The Nighthawks won the match by a 4,628 to 4,384 margin.
Wofford was led by
Isabella Timmons with a total score of 1,110, which included a 543 in smallbore and a 567 in air rifle to place fifth overall.
Ansely-Brooke Springer was sixth overall with a career-best 1,103 (535 small bore, 568 air).
Garett Dall had a 1,095 as he was the top Terrier finisher in small bore with a 545 and had a 550 in air rifle.
Jessy Delgado had a 1,076 (519 small bore, 557 air).
Charlie Yang competed in her first career match and had a 499 in air rifle only.
Maya Cameron of North Georgia had an aggregate of 1,167 take first place overall, as she was first in both air rifle and small bore.
The Terriers will remain at home for the next match on Saturday, October 29, against UAB.
