LEXINGTON V.A. – The Wofford men's soccer team earned its second-consecutive SoCon win after blanking VMI 3-0 on the road Saturday afternoon. The win improves the Terriers' record to 5-7-2 (2-1-1 SoCon).
Wofford had plenty of chances on offense early, with
Jackson Wrobel,
Jakob Anderson and
Brandon Oddy all collecting shots but were unable to get past the Keydets.
The Terriers broke through at the 40:58 mark, when
Thaddeus Dennis sent a shot to the back of the net off a pass from
Kameron Gorst. Wofford went into halftime up 1-0, out-shooting VMI 10-2.
Wofford wasted no time on the attack in the second half, with
Nikolai Rojel netting his seventh goal of the season four minutes into the half.
The Terriers added one more goal with seven minutes left as
Jackson Wrobel recorded his fifth goal of the season, sealing the win for Wofford.
