SPARTANBURG S.C. – The No. 4 Wofford men's soccer team is set to battle No. 5 Furman in a rivalry matchup in the 2022 Southern Conference Tournament Quarterfinals. The match will be played at UNC-Greensboro on Friday, Nov. 4 at 4:00 p.m. and streamed on ESPN+.

The Terriers closed out the regular season dropping a hard-fought 1-2 contest again then-ranked No. 11 UNCG.
Jakob Andersson netted his first career goal in the contest. The Terriers have won three of the past four games on the road.

Wofford enters the match at 6-8-2 (2-2-1) and previously defeated the Paladins in Greenville 2-0 on Oct. 15.
Hugo Moldin and
Thaddeus Dennis scored the two goals while
Cameron Victor made six saves en route to the shutout victory. This marked Wofford's first victory over Furman since 2017.

The Terriers are led by
Nikolai Rojel's team-high eight goals, which is the second most goals scored in the conference. Rojel earned SoCon Offensive Player of the Month honors for September and has scored a goal in the past two road contests. The team is also led by
Jackson Wrobel, who leads the team with 19 points. Wrobel's six goals ranked second on the team and his seven assists is a team high. Rojel and Wrobel have accounted for 14 of Wofford's 24 goals this season.

Defensively, Victor has been a force in SoCon play, pitching a shutout in each road conference game this season (Mercer 10/1, Furman 10/15, VMI 10/22). Victor has played each minute this season for Wofford and has made 47 saves while facing 164 shots.

Furman closed the season 6-6-4 (1-3-1 SoCon), winning only once in the team's final nine matches (1-5-3 in that stretch) after starting the season 5-1-1.

The winner of the match will face UNCG on Sunday in the SoCon Tournament Semifinals.
