PALM CITY, Fla. – The Wofford men's golf team concluded its first spring tournament at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate on Tuesday afternoon, as Wofford hung within the field's top six prior to a tough third-round performance sliding the Terriers to a 12
th-place finish out of 21 teams at the Hammock Golf Club in Palm City, Fla.

Wofford (+37) opened the three-day, 54-hole tournament strong in Sunday's first round at 3-under as a team in fourth (285). Additionally, the Terriers briefly led the field at 1-under through the second round prior to finishing tied for sixth at 13-over at Monday's conclusion.

A rough final round made all the difference on Tuesday, seeing the Terriers finish the final 18 23-over for a final score of 901, ultimately slipping Wofford down to 12
th from its T-sixth second-round finish.

Despite Tuesday's finish, the Terriers scored wins over nine teams in Butler, Winthrop, Samford, South Dakota, USC Upstate, Murray State, Ohio, Iona and Florida A&M.

Host UNCG (+6) won the tournament's crown by three strokes over Creighton (+9), followed by George Mason in third (+15), while George Mason's J.P. Miller (-8) finished as the individual medalist out of 121 golfers. Â

Junior
Matthew Larkin (+5) led the Terriers tied for 23
rd with a total of 221, recording eight birdies and using an even second-round performance to emerge in the top 20 (T20) before finishing 3-over in Tuesday's final round.

Larkin parred a team-high 36 holes over the tournament's span.

Senior
Walker Jones (+6) sat within the top 20 over the tournament's opening 36 holes, entering the final round 2-over prior to carding a 76 to follow behind Larkin with a score of 222, tied for 27
th.

Jones led Wofford with a team-high 11 birdies, while finishing third among the field in par-3 scoring (-2).

Sophomore
Cedric Otten (+12) finished tied for 50
th with a score of 228 after holding the hot hand in the field's top-10 through the first round, as sophomore
Harry Jones (+16) finished tied for 68
th with a score of 232. Sophomore
John Fahey (+27) rounds out Wofford's lineup in 111

Jackson Hill (+8) competed as an individual over the three-day span, finishing tied for 40
th with a score of 224.

The Terriers return to the course when Wofford travels to compete in the Dorado Beach Collegiate in Dorado, Puerto Rico on Sunday, Feb. 27 through March 1.
