DORADO, P.R. – The Wofford men's golf team competed strong at the Dorado Beach Collegiate, hosted by UNCG, in Dorado, Puerto Rico on Tuesday, finishing 19-under for its best tournament score in relation to par since 2009 while matching Wofford's second-best 54-hole score in program history to finish fourth out of 13 teams at the Dorado Beach Resort and Club. Three Terriers finished under par to record top-20 finishes, led by senior
Walker Jones (-6) with his third career top-10 finish.

The tournament featured a competitive field at the par-72, 7,112-yard Sugarcane Course, as the Terriers were one of 10 teams that finished under par, while scoring wins over James Madison, No. 44 Virginia Tech, Elon, VCU, Rutgers, Campbell, Army West Point, George Mason and Old Dominion.

Wofford (-19) opened the tournament with its lowest round since 2015, blazing a 13-under 276 as a team in Sunday's first round en route to finishing with a total score of 845 – matching the program's initial second-best 54-hole mark set at the Hummingbird Intercollegiate on Oct. 2, 2018.

Host UNCG (-29) won the tournament's crown by four strokes over Drexel (-25), while Ball State (-22) finished three strokes better than the Terriers to place third. UNCG's No. 28 Nick Lyerly (-14) won low medalist for the tournament.

Senior
Walker Jones (-6) led the Terriers tied for seventh, parring 38 of the tournament's 54 holes while recording 12 birdies over the three-day span. Jones improved round-after-round, recording a 1-under 71 through the opening 18 prior to finishing with a 2-under 70 in the second round. Jones then used a 3-under back-nine performance on Tuesday, notching birdies on holes No. 11, 12 and 14, to card a 3-under 69 and finish as Wofford's low finisher with a score of 210.

Sophomore
Harry Jones (-5) added his fourth career top-20 finish tied for 12
th, while leading with a team-high 14 birdies. Jones matched an 18-hole career-low to sit in first through Sunday, using eight birdies to card a tournament-low round with a 7-under 65, prior to recording consecutive 73s in the second and third rounds for a score of 211.

Classmate
Cedric Otten (-4) finished tied for 17
th to add his third career top-20 finish, while matching a career-low 54-hole score of 212 with 12 birdies. Otten opened with a 3-under 69 in the first round, while carding a 1-under 71 and finishing even on Tuesday to round out the Terriers in the top 20.

Jackson Hill (+1) finished tied for 38
th with a score of 217, while classmate
Matthew Larkin (+2) rounds out the lineup tied for 44
th with a score of 218.

Wofford is back in action next Monday, Mar. 7-8, when it competes in the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate in Aiken, S.C.
