SPARTANBURG S.C. – The Wofford men's soccer team dropped a home contest to Georgia State 0-2, at Snyder Field on Saturday afternoon. The loss moves the Terriers' record to 2-3 to open the season.

Wofford had chances on offense early, with
Jakob Anderson firing two shots on goal, but Panther goalkeeper Gunther Rakenburg was able to stop both shots from getting by. Georgia State scored its first goal to follow at the 13:27 mark off a shot by Mario Arrocha.

After another Terrier shot was saved by the goalie, Georgia State struck again, this time by Tristan Jumeau, giving the Panthers a 2-0 lead at the 27-minute mark. The 2-0 lead remained through halftime.

The Terriers controlled the offense in the second half, posting 10 shots compared to only one by Georgia State, but Wofford was unable to get by the Panther defense.
