ASHEVILLE N.C. – The Wofford men's soccer team played to a 2-2 draw Tuesday night on the road at UNC Asheville after a late goal for the Bulldogs tied the match with three minutes left to play.
Nikolai Rojel opened the scoring at the 9:33 mark off a pass from
Nathan Childress, giving Wofford an early 1-0 lead.
The Bulldogs responded at the 25th minute with a goal, tying the match midway through the first half.
Wofford pulled back in front after
Jackson Wrobel's corner kick found
Bryce Peacock, who sent the ball past the Bulldog defense, giving Wofford a 2-1 lead with nine minutes left in the opening half.
After the Terriers looked to have their third goal of the game, the goal was called back after a discussion due to Wofford being offsides.
The Bulldogs notched the equalizing goal at the 86:24 mark after Stewart Patnaud snuck the ball past the Terrier defense.
The tie moves Wofford's record to 2-5-1 on the season.
