SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College and AFL have announced the Student-Athlete Leaders of the Month for October. The month's honorees are Carson Archie from the men's cross country team and Meara Kelly from the women's soccer team.
 
A senior from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Archie was the top Wofford finisher at all five meets this fall, including the 2023 Southern Conference Championship. He will also compete at the NCAA Southeast Regional on November 10. A member of the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll and Fall All-Academic Team, Archie is majoring in environmental studies.  
 
Kelly, a senior from Savannah, Georgia, has played in 64 career games with 48 starts. This season she was one of only two players to start all 20 games. She recorded an assist at East Tennessee State. The team advanced to the Southern Conference Tournament quarterfinals. A biology major, she has been named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll and Southern Conference Fall All-Academic Team.
