SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The fall season for the Wofford women's tennis team wrapped up the fall season with strong performances at the Terrier Invite held at the Reeves Tennis Center on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The doubles portion of the tournament was completed with one round on Friday and two on Saturday, as the teams battled rain each day. Singles matches were held on Sunday, with most competitors getting in two matches. Competing teams included Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville State, Mercer, Presbyterian, Radford, UNC Asheville, UNCG and Western Carolina in addition to Wofford.
In doubles, the Wofford pairings of
Grace Agster and
Breda Brennan and
Lily Woods and
Brianna Wilbur both won their respective draws. On Sunday in singles, Wofford won 15 of 18 matches.
"It is always nice to finish the fall season with our home tournament," said head coach
Krissy Hall. "We competed well through all the weather challenges this weekend. I am so proud of the team for all of their hard work, resiliency, and energy throughout the entire fall season. We are looking forward to the spring season!"
Wofford will begin the spring season on January 27 at Coastal Carolina.
