Hurricane Helene Impacts Wofford Athletics Events

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The impact of Hurricane Helene has affected many Wofford College athletics events this weekend. There was minimal damage to buildings on campus; however, over 70 trees fell during the storm and debris covers the grounds. Power is still out to much of campus as of 10 AM on Saturday.

Updates on home events are below and postings will also be made to social media channels.

FRIDAY
Volleyball vs. Samford – 6:00 p.m. at Richardson Indoor Stadium
All traffic enters from Twitty Street, free admission, no ESPN+ broadcast

SATURDAY
Football vs. Mercer – time changed to 3:00 p.m. (originally 1:30 p.m.)
- There will be limited parking on campus on a first-come, first-served basis. Lots B, P, and G2 are closed due to fallen trees and flooding. The Verandah Lot is also closed due to tree damage. Lots G1, E, F, C, and Y are expected to be open. ALL VEHICLES SHOULD ENTER CAMPUS OFF PINE STREET AND TWITTY STREET, as Evins Street will be closed so cleanup and repair crews can continue to work. Additonal parking can be found at Memorial Auditorium.

- The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and can be heard on the Wofford Digital Radio Network.
