THE RICHMOND GAME
Wofford will continue the season-opening road trip with a visit to Richmond on Saturday ... It will be just the second meeting between the two teams and the first in the regular season ... The previous meeting was in the 2007 NCAA FCS Playoffs, with the Spiders winning 21-10 in Spartanburg ... Wofford won the 2024 season opener on Thursday night 21-20 at Gardner-Webb, which gave the Terriers a three-game winning streak for the first time since the 2019 season ... Wofford was one of only three SoCon schools to win during the opening weekend ... Richmond was 9-4 overall last season and 7-1 in the CAA to claim the conference title ... They advanced to the NCAA FCS Playoffs, winning 49-27 over North Carolina Central before falling 41-13 at Albany ... Richmond began the 2024 season with a 34-13 loss at Virginia on Saturday night ... The Spiders are currently ranked #14 in the Stats Perform FCS poll and #15 in the FCS Coaches poll, while Wofford is receiving votes in the FCS Coaches poll.

After the win at Gardner-Webb in the fall of 2024, Wofford is 54-61-1 all-time in season openers since posting a 5-1 win over Furman on December 14, 1889 ... In the last ten seasons, Wofford is 6-4 in season openers, with the losses to Clemson, South Carolina State, Chattanooga and Pittsburgh ... When Wofford opens the season at home, its record is 27-20-1.
A 12 GAME SEASON
Wofford has not played 12 games in the regular season since 2016. That season the Terriers were 9-3 in the regular season and then 10-4 overall after the FCS Playoffs. Prior to that, Wofford played 12 regular season games in 2002 (9-3).
SOCON PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jalen Marshall was named the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the week. Marshall, a junior from Hiram, Georgia, led the Terriers with ten tackles in the win at Gardner-Webb on Thursday night.

Wofford Sports Properties, the multimedia rights partner for Wofford College Athletics, has announced the return of "Inside Wofford Football with Coach
Shawn Watson." The show is part of an expanded selection of coaches shows that began last season. The shows, sponsored by Yokohama, are hosted by the voice of the Terriers, Jim Noble. "Inside Wofford Football" begins in September and will debut every Monday during the football season. Fans can listen to the "Inside Wofford Football" program in a variety of ways, including on the

GOAL LINE CLUB
Help carry the ball for the Terriers and sign up to be a 2024 Goal Line Club member. Pledge as little as $1 to contribute to an athletic endowed scholarship. Established in 2012, the Goal Line Club has proven hugely successful in helping raise scholarship dollars for the Wofford College Athletics Endowment. Goal Line Club members have donated a combined total of more than $368,538 for the Goal Line Club Endowed Scholarship Fund since the inception of this initiative.
