SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford women's tennis team hosted the Big Southern Shootout on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Reeves Tennis Center.
 
During the tournament, one point was awarded for each win. The Southern Conference, represented by Wofford, Chattanooga, and Middle Tennessee State, earned a total of 62 points. The Big South was represented by Gardner-Webb, Longwood, and Presbyterian College, scoring 19 total points.
 
Overall, Wofford won nine of the 12 doubles matches played. They also won 11 of the 18 singles matches, led by Chloe Elliott with three singles victories.
 
"It was a great weekend of tennis on our home courts," said head coach Krissy Hall. "We had a lot of competitive matches and saw strong progress. I am especially proud of our doubles play."
 
Wofford will compete next at the Southern Conference fall tournament from October 24 to October 26 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
