Wofford will host Norfolk State on Saturday afternoon as part of Homecoming Weekend ... It is the final non-conference game of the season for Wofford ... The Terriers are 0-5 overall and 0-2 in the SoCon to begin the season, with a 16-15 loss at South Carolina State, a 14-10 home loss to Richmond, a 22-21 loss at Mercer, a 38-6 loss at Virginia Tech, and a 23-21 loss to Western Carolina ... The Terriers are coming off a 5-7 record last year, with a 3-5 mark in the Southern Conference ... Norfolk State is 1-5 on the season, with a win over Virginia State ... Last week they were defeated 41-34 by Hampton ... Last season the Spartans were 4-8 overall and 2-3 in the MEAC ... This will be the first meeting between the two teams.Â

ABOUT WOFFORD
Shawn Watson is entering his third full season as head coach of the Terriers. On offense, the offensive line features returning starters
Mason Howard,
Quincy Hughes, and
Luke Moise.
Clayton Hixon started the final three games last season at center and
Chizara Alegbe will be at the other spot. The pro spread offense usually sees three receivers, one tight end and one running back in most formations.
C.J. Adams,
Ivory Aikens, and
Isaiah Scott are set to start at receiver, with Scott the lone returning starter. Transfer
Matt Flanders will start at tight end, while
Kyle Parsons is the top returner at running back At quarterback,
Jayden Whitaker earned the starting spot after a competition in fall camp, but was replaced by
Ethan Drumm against Richmond.Â
  The defense remains a 3-4 base, with the defensive line led by returners
Brandon Maina and Marion Smokes. They are joined by
Seth Foster. The linebacker position has four new starters in
Alijah Williams,
Javario Tinch,
Jalen Rambert, and
Elijah Washington. In the secondary, safeties
C.J. Coombes and
Maximus Pulley return as starters at safety, with Darius Malcolm and
R.J. Brunson taking over at the cornerback positions.Â
  The special teams will see
Sam Spence handling placekicking,
Haven Maddox kicking off,
Maddox Cowart at punter and holder, and
Blake Shirley at long snapper.Â
HOMECOMING NOTES
When the Terriers host Norfolk State on Saturday, it will mark the 80th Homecoming game at Wofford ... The Terriers are 49-28-2 all-time in Homecoming games.Â
TORNADO OF TERRIERS
Kids are welcome to join the "Tornado of Terriers" and lead the team as they run out onto the field. Children ages 12 and under can gather at the stairway to the field on the Verandah Lot side of the stadium at 1 p.m.
TERRIER TOWN
New this season is "Terrier Town," which is located directly in front of Gibbs Stadium on Cummings Street. It will open at 9:30 a.m. and feature activities for the whole family and a chance to interact with our women's basketball student-athletes. The event will feature food trucks, inflatables, a DJ, and family-friendly games.Â

See the team before the game on the Terrier Walk, which begins at 11:00 a.m. at the horseshoe behind Old Main and continues down Evins Street to the Verandah Lot.Â

Help carry the ball for the Terriers and sign up to be a 2025 Goal Line Club member. Pledge as little as $1 to contribute to an athletic endowed scholarship. CLEAR BAG POLICY
Wofford began a clear bag policy in 2018. Fans will be permitted to enter with a clear bag that does not exceed 12" in height by 6" in depth by 12" in width. A simple one-gallon clear plastic bag, such as a Ziploc bag or similar, is acceptable. Fans will be allowed to carry in a small clutch bag, approximately the size of a hand or 4.5" by 6.5", with or without a handle or strap. An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at the game.
GAME DAY PARKING
Reminder that all football parking lots open 4 hours prior to kickoff (9:30 a.m. on October 4). Please note that traffic patterns have changed due to the closure of Cummings Street in front of Gibbs Stadium. General parking will be available inÂ
Lots G1Â (paved lot, $20 per vehicle) andÂ
G2 (grass lot, $20 per vehicle), cash only. A parking map can be found

STUDENT PARKING
The following parking areas will need to be
cleared by Friday (Oct. 10) at 5 p.m.
- Verandah lot.
- The first two rows of the Mungo Student Center lot nearest the Mungo Student Center.
- The Cummings Street lot.
- Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium side and back lots.
The following lots
are available for student parking as you move your vehicles from the above lots, which are reserved for game day.
- G2 lot, in the grassy area between the back of the Stewart H. Johnson Greek Village and Liberty Trail. NOTE: G2 is free on Friday but will be $20 after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
- The lot that once was attached to Calvary Baptist Church, near the senior village apartments. The church has been demolished, but parking remains available to students.
- Wofford spaces in the lot adjacent to Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium. These will be available Friday afternoon after 4 p.m.
- The horseshoe between Shipp and DuPré Halls (behind Main Building), after 4 p.m., Friday.
- The Montgomery Music Building lot.
- Lots adjacent to the Office of Marketing and Communications and Information Technology Services (across Church Street) will also be available to students who need to move their vehicles.
FACULTY AND STAFF PARKING
The Play60 Lot adjacent to Twitty Street is available for parking and tailgating for all home games for faulty and staff.
