ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Wofford volleyball team earned a 3-0 sweep against the Furman Paladins in the Southern Conference Semifinals on Saturday night inside of Harrah's Cherokee Center. The Terriers will advance to the SoCon Championship for the third-straight season and will meet No. 1 ETSU in the title matchup.

Wofford totaled 46 kills on a .296 hitting percentage while Furman had 37 kills on a .204 hitting percentage. The Terriers tallied 43 assists to Furman's 34. Both teams evened out at four aces. Wofford had 46 digs and three blocks on the night. The Paladins finished with 43 digs and five blocks.

Chloe Smith paced the team with 15 kills on a .316 hitting percentage, along with 12 kills from
Bradley Brown.
Natalie Arnold followed behind with seven kills, and
Annemarie Rakoski had six.
Emily Normand finished with five.
Taylor Pecht and
Maddy Frazier led the offensive attack, with Pecht dishing out 25 assists and Frazier closing the night with 16.
Laney Klika led the team with two service aces.
Caroline Przystup and
Maddy Frazier recorded one each.

Caroline Przystup finished with a team-high 13 digs on the night, while
Laney Klika followed behind with 10.
Taylor Pecht had seven. Chloe smith and
Bradley Brown posted two blocks each.
Natalie Arnold and
Annemarie Rakoski tallied one apiece.

Annemarie Rakoski kickstarted set one with a quick kill which led to three-straight points for the Terriers. The three points were the beginning of a 9-2 run for Wofford. Furman responded, however, rolling off six points to Wofford's one to cut the deficit to one point. Back-to-back kills from
Natalie Arnold sparked a four-point run for the Terriers, allowing the team to take a 15-11 lead. Wofford would dominate from there and take set one 25-17.

Furman scored the first point of set two, but Wofford responded and took a 6-3 lead. Furman would cut the deficit to one point on several occasions. It was not until the latter half of the stanza that the Paladins took a 19-18 lead. Three service errors by Furman from there helped Wofford take set two 25-23.

Rakoski made her presence felt to start set three, notching the first two points for Wofford. The Terriers fell behind after that, as Furman would control a lead right up to the media timeout. A four-point Wofford swing allowed the team to lead 15-13. Shortly after the stoppage, the Terriers would score six points to Furman's two, resulting in a 22-18 lead for Wofford. The Terriers would hold on to win set three 25-21 and earn the sweep.

The Terriers advance to the Southern Conference Championship and look to claim the title for the third-straight year. Wofford earned straight-set wins against No. 6 Samford in the quarterfinals and then against No. 2 Furman in the semifinals. The championship match is slated for Sunday, November 23, at 4:00 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN+ and CW62.
