SPARTANBURG, S.C. – On Tuesday afternoon, the Wofford women's tennis team recorded at 7-0 sweep of North Greenville University at the Reeves Tennis Center. The Terriers won the doubles point and then claimed all six singles matches to improve to 5-0 on the season.
Doubles action got off to a quick start as
Quinn Bernthal and
Brianna Wilbur won 6-0 at the #3 position.
Grace Agster and
Lily Woods had a 6-1 win at the #1 position that clinched the doubles point.
Breda Brennan and
Emma Sorensen completed the doubles sweep with a 6-1 win at the #2 position.
During the singles matches,
Catherine Blouin earned a 6-1, 6-0 win at the #3 position and
Chloe Elliott won 6-0, 6-2 at the #5 position.
Breda Brennan clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-0 win at #1 singles.
Brianna Wilbur added a 6-1, 6-0 win at the #2 position.
Grace Agster dropped her first set 2-6, but rallied for a 6-1 win in the second set and a 10-2 win in the third set tiebreaker.
Grace Stout closed out the match with a 6-1, 6-0 win at the #6 position.
The Terriers will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 22, at Georgia Southern in the first of three straight road matches.
