Six Terrier pitchers toed the rubber in the contest with Sheldon Egger starting. He pitched 1.2 innings with two runs allowed. Michael Sills (1-2) suffered the loss after surrendering five runs (four earned) in an inning of work. Grant Comstock made his Terrier debut in the contest, tossing a scoreless inning with just a hit allowed. He hurled a pair of strikeouts, both looking. Champ Davis pitched 1.2 scoreless frames with no hits and just one walk against his ledger.

Mike Eggert (1-0) earned the win for Charleston out of the bullpen with 1.1 scoreless innings and just one hit allowed. Davis Aiken (3) secured a save as the last of seven Cougar arms, pitching the final 1.1 innings with a walk surrendered.

The Cougars outhit Wofford 11-6 in the contest. David Wiley tallied two hits in the game with an RBI to lead the Terriers. Ryan Wynn and Adam Haber notched the two Terrier extra-base knocks with a triple and double, respectively. Wynn recorded three RBI as Haber posted two, as did Tyler Bak.

Wofford swiped a season-high eight bases in the game with six Terriers taking at least one. Lucas Manning and James Layman each recorded a pair with Wynn, Wiley, Bak, and Tanner Hardin all adding one.

Charleston struck first with two runs in the bottom of the second. An RBI double put the Cougars on the board, and they added another with a single immediately following for a 2-0 lead.

The Terriers responded with three runs in the top of the third. James Layman walked and stole his way to third. Adam Haber walked, and David Wiley singled Layman home. After another steal, Tyler Bak singled both runners home to push the Terriers in front 3-2.

However, Charleston found a rhythm in the bottom of the inning with six runs to flip the script. The scoring opened with a two-run single, and another two-run single followed a batter later. Two more RBI singles pushed Charleston in front 8-3.

Pitching settled in for both teams to post back-to-back scoreless frames. In the top of the sixth, Wofford bounced back with three runs. A trio of walks loaded the bases for Ryan Wynn, who delivered a bases-clearing triple off the wall in left to bring Wofford within 8-6.

Charleston added another run in the bottom of the seventh with a run that was balked home. The Cougars held a 9-6 advantage.

Wofford pushed back with a pair of runs in the top of the eighth. Lucas Manning walked and stole his way to third. Wynn then walked and stole second, setting up runners on second and third for Haber. The lefty ripped an opposite field double down the line to push across both runs, pulling the Terriers within a run at 9-8.

After Champ Davis tossed a 1-2-3 inning in the bottom of the frame, the Terriers turned to their last chance at the plate in the top of the ninth. A walk put the potential tying run on base, but a caught stealing would end the contest and seal Charleston's 9-8 win.
