SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford College volleyball team swept Western Carolina on Tuesday evening inside of Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium. Wofford earned its sixth-straight win and third-straight sweep. The Terriers improve to 12-5 on the season with a perfect 5-0 start to conference play.

Chloe Smith led the group with 17 kills on a .385 hitting percentage. Smith has now reached double-digit kills in 11-straight matches.
Bradley Brown and
Avery White had nine kills apiece.
Taylor Pecht posted a team-high 22 assists along with 16 from
Maddy Frazier. Frazier,
Makaylee Ruiz and
Ella Coleman each had one ace.

Laney Klika had a match-best 21 digs for the night, moving her to second in the nation in total digs.
Maddy Frazier followed behind with 12 digs for her fourth double-double of the season.
Ella Coleman had 10 digs.
Charlotte Bell had three blocks to lead the efforts at the net while
Avery White had two.

Wofford finished the night with 50 kills on a .285 hitting percentage while Western Carolina had 30 kills on a .160 hitting percentage. Western Carolina had four aces compared to Wofford's three. Wofford finished the night with six blocks while Western Carolina had eight blocks. The Terriers posted 70 digs on the night – the 10
th most in a three-set match in program history.

It was back-and-forth to start the first set of the match, with 14 different ties before the 15-point media timeout. With Wofford trailing 15-14, the team rolled off six unanswered points to take a 20-15 lead. That was part of an 11-1 run as the team claimed a 25-16 win in set one.

The two teams were tied 3-3 at the beginning of the second set. Wofford scored four unanswered points to take the lead, however. The team eventually turned that gap into a 15-11 lead at the media timeout. Despite leading 20-14, Western Carolina scored five-straight points to cut the deficit to one, 20-19. Wofford ended the skid, winning set two 25-21.

Wofford jumped out to an early 6-3 lead in the final set of the match. Western Carolina responded to tie the stanza at 8-8, but three consecutive points from Wofford allowed the team to take an 11-8 advantage. Western Carolina continued to hang around after that, with Wofford leading 19-17. The Terriers rattled off a 6-1 run to seal the final set, 25-18, and win the match 3-0.
