SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The 2026-27 slate for the Wofford women's basketball team has been revealed by head coach Jimmy Garrity. The Terriers will have a 29-game schedule with 12 contests hosted inside Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium.
"There's always a special excitement that comes with the release of a new game schedule because it means another season is right around the corner," said Garrity. "Our staff has spent the offseason preparing for the opportunities and challenges ahead, and we're looking forward to welcoming our players back to campus. We believe our non-conference schedule will test us in a variety of ways and prepare us for another highly competitive Southern Conference season. The SoCon continues to be one of the toughest leagues in the country, and every game will demand our very best. What excites me most, though, is this group of young women. They have embraced our culture, continue to grow together, and bring tremendous leadership, energy and enthusiasm every day. We're excited to begin the journey and look forward to representing Wofford College with pride throughout the season."
The season starts on Monday, Nov. 2 with the team's first road game of the season, a trip to North Carolina State University. The Terriers return home to welcome King University to Spartanburg on Thursday, Nov. 5.
Wofford then departs to face Georgia State on a quick road trip on Sunday, Nov. 8, before returning home to face North Greenville on the following Tuesday, Nov. 10. The team then takes a two-game road swing to face off against Sun Belt team Georgia Southern on Saturday, Nov. 14, and UNC Charlotte on Nov. 18. The Terriers will host Presbyterian College on Saturday, Nov. 21.
The Terriers then begin a five-game road trip starting in North Carolina, facing Wake Forest on Monday, Nov. 23. Then, Wofford flies down to Denton, Texas, where they go head-to-head against the University of North Texas. They return to the Palmetto state and face three South Carolina opponents, tipping off on Wednesday, Dec. 2, against Charleston Southern. Then Saturday, Dec. 5, the team will head to Rock Hill to face Winthrop and then play the University of South Carolina on Saturday, Dec. 12.
The Terriers finish off the 2026 year, returning home to face Gardner-Webb on Saturday, Dec. 19, marking their final non-conference contest. The new year brings the beginning of Southern Conference play, starting with Furman in Greenville on Saturday, Jan. 2.
Wofford's first home conference tilt is against league newcomer Tennessee Tech on Tuesday, Jan. 5. A road trip to Western Carolina (Jan. 9) and ETSU (Jan. 12) follows, and then the Terriers return home to face the Samford Bulldogs on Saturday, Jan. 16.
The end of January brings three more conference standoffs, with their first tilt with UNC Greensboro away on Tuesday, Jan. 19, and then returning to Spartanburg on Saturday, Jan. 23, to face rival Furman for a second time and Chattanooga on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium.
Wofford continues conference play through February, playing eight games starting with Mercer in Macon, Ga., on Tuesday, Feb. 2, then coming home to face Western Carolina (Feb. 6) and UNCG (Feb. 9), and another away game in Birmingham, Ala., against Samford. Wofford will host ETSU on Tuesday, Feb. 16, before heading to Tennessee to face Tennessee Tech (Feb. 20) and Chattanooga (Feb. 23). The Terriers head home for their last game of the regular season against Mercer on Feb. 27.
The Southern Conference Tournament will be held in Asheville, N.C., at the Harrah's Cherokee Center – Asheville from March 4-7.
The Terriers were 16-13 last season with a 10-4 SoCon record to share the regular season title. Wofford fell to Samford, 57-59, in the SoCon Quarterfinals.
