THE TENNESSEE TECH GAME
After back-to-back road games, Wofford returns home to Gibbs Stadium to host Southern Conference newcomer Tennessee Tech on Saturday as part of Family Weekend activities ... The Terriers are 2-2 on the season after a 41-14 win over The Citadel, a 17-13 win over Gardner-Webb, a 36-15 loss at Kent State, and a 41-7 loss at Chattanooga ... In the SoCon standings, Wofford is 1-1 as the only team to play two league games ... The Terriers posted a 6-6 record last year, with a 5-3 mark in the Southern Conference to finish tied for third in the standings ... Wofford and Tennessee Tech are meeting for the fifth time, with the Terriers winning all four previous meetings ... Tennessee Tech was 11-2 last season and 8-0 to clinch the OVC-Big South title ... They fell to North Dakota in the first round of the NCAA FCS Playoffs ... The Golden Eagles are ranked #12 in the Stats Perform FCS poll and #10 in the FCS Coaches poll.

Here are the top notes of interest heading into the Tennessee Tech game ...
    • Shawn Watson is entering his fourth full season as head coach of the Terriers. 
    • Keeping the momentum going, Wofford has won eight of the last eleven games after starting the 2025 season 0-5. 
    • The Terriers return 13 starters from last season, with eight on the offense, four on the defense, and one specialist. 
    • Six players earned spots on the preseason All-SoCon team, with Eli Campbell on the first team. 
    • Wofford opened the season with back-to-back home wins for a 2-0 start for just the second time in the last seven seasons (2024).  
    • Davis Penn and Cillian Bonner both have been named SoCon Special Teams Player of the Week so far this season. 
    • The Wofford defense was second in the SoCon, with the scoring defense fourth overall in the nation and first in the SoCon. 

ABOUT WOFFORD
Shawn Watson enters his fourth full season as head coach of the Terriers. On offense, the offensive line features returning starters Clayton Hixon, Reggie Houston and Dillon Porter, with Kam Wallace and Esom Nnajiofor rounding out the group. The pro spread offense usually sees three receivers, one tight end and one running back in most formations. Four of the top five receivers from last year return in Ivory Aikens, Colby Alexander, Terrance Honeywood, and Isaiah Scott. Sophomore Jack Ewell is projected to start at tight end, while Gerald Modest returns at running back.  At quarterback, J.T. Fayard started the final seven games last season with a 6-1 record and he will be backed up by Ethan Drumm, who started two games in 2025. 
    The defense remains a 3-4 base, with the defensive line having three new starters in Ramon McCollough, Joseph Polite, and Nicholas Mathious. The linebacker position will return Javario Tinch, Kade Moledor and Wyatt Ward who all started games last year, along with Logan McCloud. In the secondary, safety Eli Campbell is joined by Jacobi Hatter with Cole Walker and J'Vion "Skoot" Luster at the cornerback positions. 
    The special teams unit has Sam Spence returning to kick and punt, however Cillian Bonner, Haven Maddox and Breyson Palmer are also in the mix. Ivory Aikens and Colby Alexander will handle kickoff returns, with Isaiah Scott and Gavin Batt on punt return. 

IN THE 2026 NATIONAL RANKINGS
In the 2026 NCAA rankings, Ivory Aikens is second in kickoff returns (38.5 yards) and tied for first in kickoff return touchdowns ... Cole Walker is 37th in passed defended (1.25) ... Isaiah Scott is 26th in punt returns (10.2 yards) ... Gerald Modest is 14th in rushing touchdowns (4) and 39th in rushing yards per game (71.3) ... Terrence Honeywood is 17th in yards per reception (21.56). 

TORNADO OF TERRIERS
Children ages 12 and under can join the Terriers as the team runs onto the field. This is an awesome experience for kids to be able to run in front of the Wofford football team! To join in on the fun, please gather at the stairway to the field on the Verandah Lot side of the stadium by 1:00 p.m.

TERRIER TOWN
Arrive early and enjoy Terrier Town! This fan event returns for a second season and will be even better than before. Stop by to enjoy inflatables, yard games, music, vendors, giveaways and so much more. We are kicking off Terrier Town at 10:30 a.m. for the Tennessee Tech game. 
 
TERRIER WALK
Cheer on the Terriers during the Terrier Walk at 11:10 a.m. The team and coaching staff will walk down Evins Street prior to Saturday's game. They will gather in front of the Stewart H. Johnson Greek Village and proceed to the Richardson Physical Activities Building. Show up early and show your support for our student-athletes on the football team!

Wofford Sports Properties, the multimedia rights partner for Wofford College Athletics, has announced the return of "Inside Wofford Football with Coach Shawn Watson." The show is hosted by the voice of the Terriers, Jim Noble. "Inside Wofford Football" begins in August and will debut every Monday during the football season. GOAL LINE CLUB
Help carry the ball for the Terriers and sign up to be a 2026 Goal Line Club member. Pledge as little as $1 to contribute to an athletic endowed scholarship. Established in 2012, the Goal Line Club has proven hugely successful in helping raise scholarship dollars for the Wofford College Athletics Endowment. Goal Line Club members have donated a combined total of more than $375,000 for the Goal Line Club Endowed Scholarship Fund since the inception of this initiative. CLEAR BAG POLICY
Wofford began a clear bag policy in 2018. Fans will be permitted to enter with a clear bag that does not exceed 12" in height by 6" in depth by 12" in width. A simple one-gallon clear plastic bag, such as a Ziploc bag or similar, is acceptable. Fans will be allowed to carry in a small clutch bag, approximately the size of a hand or 4.5" by 6.5", with or without a handle or strap. An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at the game. Due to weather, fans will be allowed to bring one sealed bottle of water per person into the stadium. 

GAME DAY PARKING
Reminder that all football parking lots open 4 hours prior to kickoff (9:30 a.m. on September 26). Please note that traffic patterns have changed due to the closure of Cummings Street in front of Gibbs Stadium. General parking will be available in Lots G1 (paved lot, $20 per vehicle) and G2 (grass lot, $20 per vehicle), cash only. A parking map can be found HERE.

FACULTY AND STAFF PARKING
The Play60 Lot/Lot W adjacent to Twitty Street is available for parking and tailgating for all home games for faulty and staff.
