ASHEBORO, N.C.—The Wofford women's golf team finished eighth in the Tot Hill Invitational, which was hosted by College of Charleston on Monday and Tuesday. The Terriers finished with a score of 912 and were led by senior
Bella Kent, who tied for 24th place with a score of 224.
The Terriers were 48 over par as a unit and finished with scores of 308, 297, and 307 over the course of the two-day, three-round event. Campbell claimed the team title by nine strokes, with a total score of 860. Wofford was one of three SoCon teams present at the tournament, with WCU finishing ninth and Tennessee Tech finishing 12th out of the 12 teams competing.
Bella Kent led the way for Wofford, posting a 72 in round one, with five birdies. In rounds two and three, she scored 76 and 76, adding five more birdies. She finished out the tournament eight strokes over par and tied for 24th. South Carolina's Yana Beeli finished in first place individually.
Gabbie Crowfoot and
Grace Lindsey finished after Kent in the standings, tying for 35th and placing 51st, respectively. Crowfoot put up scores of 78, 75, and 76 across the three rounds, finishing 13 strokes over par with a score of 229. Lindsey was right behind her at 15 over par with a score of 231, with scores of 79, 72, and 80.
Delaney Wade and Sophia Pedrero rounded out the Terriers' lineup, finishing tied for 47th and in 51st place. Wade scored a 232 (79, 75, 78), and Pedrero scored a 234 (82, 75, 77)
Wofford returns to action in two weeks when they host the Terrier Invitational in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The two-day tournament is set for October 12th and 13th.
