G. Dial Dubose
G. Dial DuBose ‘83 has served as the vice president of operations for Town and Country Realty of Easley, Inc. since 1987, and as president of Nalley Garrett Motels, Inc. since 1987. Mr. DuBose graduated from Wofford College in 1983 with a B.S. degree in psychology. Currently, Mr. DuBose serves as vice chairman of the South Carolina Public Service Authority, and Trustee of the Palmetto Economic Development Association. He is past vice chairman of the Pickens County Council and former chairman of the South Carolina Hospitality Association. In addition, Mr. DuBose served on the Upstate Alliance board of directors and the Easley and Upstate advisory boards for First Union and Wachovia from 1998 to 2004.
Mr. Dubose and his wife, Katherine ‘84, are the parents of George D. Dubose ’09, John L. Dubose ’11, and Mary Katherine Dubose ’13. Dial and Kathy established an endowed scholarship as a way of giving back to Wofford and as a way for the entire Dubose family to create a long-term legacy at Wofford. Their endowed scholarship, The Dubose Family Endowed Scholarship Fund, is given first preference to an upperclassman student-athlete participating on the football team, that has demonstrated leadership, strong moral character, academic progress, and is a walk-on to the team.
