Noting The Citadel game...
Wofford enters Saturday afternoon's contest in Charleston with the highest national ranking it has ever held in the FCS (formerly I-AA) polls at this point in the season. Wofford is coming off a 28-14 win over Appalachian State at Gibbs Stadium last weekend while The Citadel is riding the high of coming from a 27-0 deficit in the 3rd quarter at Chattanooga to win 28-27 over the Mocs. The Bulldogs are in the second season of running a triple option offense under head coach Kevin Higgins and the improvement has been noticeable. Last year The Citadel averaged 3.9 yards per rushing attempt. This year that number is up to 5.5 yards per attempt. Wofford's average per rush is 5.8.
