HIGH SCHOOL: A three-time first-team all-region member and has thrice played in the All-State Game ... In both 2021 and 2022, his Cardinal Newman teammates voted him to receive the school's Cy Young Award ... On the bump, boasted a 2.03 ERA with nine wins and a pair of saves with 131 punchouts ... At the dish, Laughlin touted a .358 batting average with 76 hits, five homers and 61 runs knocked in.
