Biography

Has a superb throwing arm from the outfield . . . Could be Wofford’s best defensive outfielder . . . Gets a great jump on the ball . . . Lefthanded hitter who will look to continue to improve offensively . . . Will be utilized in many ways this season . . . Hit .263 in the summer of 2006 while playing in the New York Collegiate Baseball League for the Watertown Wizards . . . 2006: Started 34 games as a freshman, the most of any rookie on the team . . . Started 13 games in left field, nine in center and 12 in right . . . Doubled and scored Wofford’s lone run at Clemson (April 26) . . . Had a spectacular two out diving catch vs. Elon (April 8) with two men on . . . Had a two-run single vs. Georgia State (March 1) . . . Hit his first collegiate home run vs. High Point (April 12) . . . Had a two-run single vs. Longwood (Feb. 5) . . . Was 10-for-10 with runners on third and less than two outs . . . High School: Hit .444 with two homers, seven stolen bases and 18 RBIs at Langley High as a senior . . . First team All-Liberty District as a senior . . . Also earned all-region honors and was a AAA All-Star honoree . . . Named to the All-Examiner first team and was a second team All-Metro pick by the Washington Post. . . Played for Coach Jeff Ferrell . . . Team co-captain as a senior . . . Batted .438 with three triples, 11 RBIs and 12 stolen bases in earning All-Liberty District and All-Northern Region honors in 2004 . . . Also selected second-team All-Northern Virginia Journal and honorable-mention Washington Post All-Met team as he posted a .538 on-base percentage . . . Helped lead his 2004 Virginia Barnstormers summer team to a third-place finish at the National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF) World Series in Jackson, Miss. . . . The 2003 team won the American Amateur Baseball Congress (AABC) North Atlantic Regional title and advanced to the AABC World Series in Dallas, Texas . . . Member of the Langley HS Honor Roll . . .
