Corley Reynolds joined the staff as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator in January 2026. Reynolds previously was the assistant head coach and recruiting coordinator at Young Harris.
“We are excited to have Corley join our staff,” said head coach J.J. Edwards. “He has a proven track record as a recruiter over the past several years at Young Harris, and we expect it to be a seamless transition. He is a great addition to our program.”
In the 2025 season, Reynolds and the Mountain Lions finished with a 40-17 record, reaching the NCAA Southeast Regional. In March, Young Harris impressively took a series from North Greenville and swept Mount Olive, two nationally ranked opponents at the time. The squad was crowned regular season Conference Carolinas Co-Champions and made it all the way to the Conference Carolinas Championship. Reynolds helped lead eight athletes to All-Conference honors, four to the NCBWA All-Southeast Region team, four to the D2CCA All-Southeast Region Second Team, three receiving ABCA/Rawlings All-Region awards and Jeremy Begora being selected to the 2025 ABCA Southeast Region All-Defensive team.
Reynolds began his coaching career at Southwest Mississippi Community College, and served there from 2019-20 as infield coach while also assisting hitters and recruiting. He served as a graduate assistant at South Alabama in the 2021 and 2022 seasons and handled first base coaching duties. He moved into an assistant coach role for the 2023 and 2024 seasons, with the 2024 team posting a 31-25 overall record.
During his playing career at Young Harris, Reynolds started at shortstop, contributing significantly to the team’s success. In 2018, he played all 50 games, batting .276 with one home run, five doubles, 23 RBIs, and 35 runs scored. The following year, Reynolds helped lead the Mountain Lions to a Peach Belt Conference Tournament title and a spot in the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional. He finished the 2019 season with 30 RBIs and a .913 fielding percentage. Prior to Young Harris, Reynolds lettered at East Mississippi Community College where he was a member of the program's 2015 regional team.
Reynolds graduated from Young Harris with a degree in economics in 2019. He earned a master’s degree in sports management from South Alabama in 2022.
