John Lyons-Harrison joins the staff this season as the director of baseball operations. He will be responsible for implementing the Synergy video system, along with assisting the coaching staff with statistical analysis and player development goals. Â

In 2017 he served as a video intern with the San Diego Padres organization. He handled all video and advance scouting for the AAA El Paso Chihuahuas as the team won a division championship and was runner-up in the PCL. He was the director of baseball operations at the University of Richmond for one season, assisting with prospect camps and recruiting.

A native of Virginia, Lyons-Harrison graduated from VCU with a degee in exercise science. While at VCU he was a two-time captain for the club baseball team. He holds school records in home runs, RBIs slugging percentage and extra base hits as the team reached the NCBA World Series in 2015.
