Named first team All-District at pitcher with a 6-3 record and a 2.40 ERA with 65 strikeouts ... Also named to the All-State Academic Team ... As a junior, he was named All-Conference at first base with a .410 batting average ... On the mound he was 3-2 with a 5.09 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 22 innings pitched ... During his sophomore season had a 3.64 ERA with 27 strikeouts in 25 innings pitched, along with a .321 batting average ... Member of the National Honor Society.
